2026 Competition Details
The Modern Snare Drum Competition, which takes place at the Cleveland Institute of Music, is open to anyone ages 26 years old and under. The competition is divided into three divisions:
Division I - Three Rounds (age 26 years old and under) Division II - Two Rounds (age 19 years old and under) Junior - One Round (age 16 years old and under) * age limits are ‘your age at the time of application submission’ A set list of repertoire will be required for each round. (See Application page for details) Application Fees: Division I - $185 Division II - $160 Junior - $95 Semi and Final rounds will take place live in Mixon Hall on June 6, 2026. Junior winners will be announced on the live stream along with the Senior Div I & II on June 6, 2026. 2026 Competition Schedule (times are approximate): Division 1 Semifinals - 9:00-12:30pm EST Break Division 2 Finals - 2:00 pm EST Division 1 Finals - 3:00 pm EST Award Presentations 4:30 EST |
